I almost had myself a dog today.
I'm sitting at work, my co-worker and I had just sat down to a lunch of yesterday's leftovers, when up runs a dog with the "Hey guys, what's up?" look on it's face.

We figure it's someone we work with stopping in that has their dog with them. (We were the only two working today). So I look around, and nobody... I check the tags, it's just some random dog. Some random fuckin' awesome dog. It looked like a small, short-haired golden retriever, so I have no idea what kind it was. But it responded when called by name, and even obeyed when we gave it orders.

I wanted to steal it...
But instead, I called the number on the tag, and the guy came to pick up his dog about 10 minutes later.

Here's to you, Star. You made my day at work exciting for a whole 10 minutes. Awesome puppy.

Netflix is currently sending me:
Murmur of the Heart
True Romance
The Notorious Bettie Page

Edit:
Who dictates that love comes from the heart? The actual muscle has no bearing over emotion... That's just silly. So if anybody can pick an arbitrary organ to dictate love, I'm choosing my liver. At least that makes sense... when your liver is under the attack of alcohol, you love everybody.
So now I have to find some sort of symbol for a liver... as <3 is for the heart..

i_of_the_storm:
The ancient Japanese thought the stomach contained the soul, which is why samurai armor never protected the belly -- in the case of seppuku they cut into the stomach to release their souls after death. They always figured the heart was useless. To them, it was a stomach that created love, hate, fear, longing, happiness, sadness, and everything in between. The heart was just some other organ.
