Well my pets, what a fantastic couple of weeks it has been. Firstly, I managed to grab a ticket to the Nancy Cartwright show "My life as a ten year old boy". For those who don't know, Nancy is the voice of Bart Simpson. It was a funny and insightful look into the behind the scenes world of the Simpsons.

Next I had the luck...

Awesome, that show with Nancy would have been so cool. I saw her on Rove, such a spin out to see who does Bart's voice isn't it!

Had a ball last night. I went to the 2006 FilmInk Awards. This is a little known Australian Awards show presented by the same named FilmInk magazine. It was held at the beautiful State Theatre in Sydney and played host to numerious small time Australian actors and actresses presenting awards for such categories as "Best Sort", "Best Film to Ruffle Feathers" and "Best Film That...

Well, its been a pretty social weekend for me. Not only did I get the opportunity to watch Dylan Moran, of Black Books and Shuan Of The Dead fame, live at the State theatre I also enjoyed another awesome concert by The Whitlams at the Metro Theatre.

And just to round the weekend off I also met up with some old friends and drunk Jagermiester...

The highlights of the evening were watching Russell Crow win the Award "Best Aussie in the Foreign Film" for Cinderella Man, Steve Bisley presented the lifetime achievement award to John Jarrett, recently of Wolf Creek Fame, and Russell Crow singing a tribute to Richard Harris with his band "Ordinary Fear of God".
Overall, a fun, silly, off the cuff thrill ride of an event.

Well, its Anzac Day again and for the first time in a while I simply watched the parade instead of marching in the Naval section.

It always fills me with pride at the amount of people that come out and see our heroes march on this honoured day and today was no exception, even with the threat of rain looming in Sydney, an eventual shower,...

My partner Lovemywaywas in the navy a few years back. Looking at your profile I'd say you have more than a few things in common!

Well its almost the start of a new week and what a week its going to be. I start my advanced course on Tuesday which will prove to be both exciting and challenging.

On the social scene, I'm still playing phone/MSN tag with a lady I met a few weeks ago. Seems she doesn't actually have time to meet up because she is always too...

Well I gave into my "I Want" side yesterday. I walked into Myers and picked up a nice new computer. Not that there was anything wrong with the one I already had, I just felt I needed to upgrade.

So here I am, sitting on a nice new Compaq Presario with an Athlon X2 +3800 Dual Processor (200Ghz), mmmmmmm, nice.

The only downside is that...

Oh my, I didn't realise how long it had been since I last entered something into my journal. Work has been so busy lately that I seem to have neglected my social life.

Well, on the plus side, not much has changed since last I put down my thoughts. The most excitment I've had is creating a DVD photo Disk of my trip away. Its...

Ahhh, Monday again.

Seems I only just had a visit from Monday and yet here it is again. I won't go into into the type of day I had, but it followed the same formula that I've already mentioned in previous journal entries.

That being said, it didn't end all that bad. I finally got my suitcase delivered. This suitcase has been missing in action...

Just noticed your tour of East Timor - good on you. My most humbling moment was the first drive from the airport to my boarding house. All those burned out buildings. I was in tears by the end of it.

Dude you should go to this SG hookup tomorrow nite in Newtown.

Good people there - get to know 'em.

Well, its finally Friday. Its been such a busy week I haven't even had time to jot down my thoughts in this journal.

With working late each night the highlight of the week seems to have been getting a pizza delivered on Wednesday night. God, I hope I don't have too many more weeks like that, I do enjoy social interaction.

I did get to...

You know what I realised today......the greatest evil in the world is 'Monday'.

A day that calls forth all types of idiots and annoying people to spread their demonic stupidity upon the rest of us.

Mondays are, as well all know, the worst day of the week. But this day in particular seems to attract the worst types of people to bother me at work....

I hate people bothering me, I hate the phone ringing and I really hate it when people come to my house (unless they are delivering a brand new car that I have won).

To be honest, by Sunday night I am ready for Monday, but then I don't have a job biggrin
