Regarding the article I posted in my journal, I think it's difficult to tell because I posted just a small portion of it, but it was about the effect of society as a whole and it's inherent homophobia on men, not about men who are homophobic. The author definately wasn't implying that men who fear intimacy with other men are homophobic, just that they are being effected by a homophobic society.
