The Calculating Mind
So I was jogging tonight and as usual my mind started wandering with all the dark. As I ran by the one bordered up house I had an image flash through my mind of Something along the lines of Freddy Krueger Smiling as he closed the door.............I can't explain why My mind acts the way it does but i continued Jogging and pushed the thought away.
Do to this bit of thought I started thinking about my decision to get into the medicine of the mind. In the end I would love to have an understanding of Neuroscience. So I got home took my shower which was down right unbelievable after a hot ass day and I looked up the topic of my Blog, " The Calculating Mind " I found this [Brain Scans Reveal. This Blew my mind, to think we have technology that can Identify someone intentions before being acted on is astonishing.
So the thought came to me that to get this outcome the Doctors had to put people in the situation of making the mental decision of what to do before acting so the computers could recognize the similarities. They then cover the Moral thinking of how government could possibly use this program to find out a persons true intentions. To do this though I would think that they would have to go through the same testing and actually have someone want to commit the crime in question whether it be , Murder, theft and so on.
In the end I don't think we as a society would ever let this happen.Then again, Our societies laws have let people that intentionally injure their children still have the right to see them after the attempt at hurting and or killing the child, so anything is possible in this fucked up world.
I feel like this was less a blog and more so a thought that didn't really need to be put into a blog but I felt like typing it out so I hope you folks weren't bored to death..
