Well at the moment I'm using 256mb of pc100, which I've had almost forever at this point. However, my motherboard can apparently handle up to 2 gigs of DDR 2100. I had planned to buy a gig, which I thought was going to cost like $80, but it turns out that particular RAM only works on like 3 differen't motherboards 
So it would've cost me more like $200, I decided to get dsl instead
