Finally got a physical done, and now I can send in my paperwork and (slowly) start the process to become a licensed hairdresser! Yay! Let's hope it doesn't take forever to get my test date.
I started putting together a portfolio with some of my work. After I do the bridal party I booked next week, I'm going to have more pictures printed out and have a whole bunch of my work that I'm just going to carry around with me forever haha. Once I get my temporary license, I want to start applying for jobs in the city. There's a few I've been researching that seem awesome, great education, benefits, and open-mindedness, which will make me super happy. Seriously, my boss told me her goal is to make me look "normal." WHAT THE FUCK!?!?! I'm a good employee, I'm starting to accumulate clients at work, and you're going to focus on the fact that I like fun hair colors and that makes me odd? Yeahhh I need to get out of there, I hate feeling like a hairdressing pariah.
Aside from that, everything else is pretty good. I'm actually optimistic about my direction in life for the first time ever, which is really kind of awesome. I've been hanging out with my friends more, which just makes me super happy, I'm going to be wicked bored when they go back to school. And I might get to go to Florida in March to visit my sister (and the puppy!) for a few days. Which will be awesome! 'Cause then we get to go to Busch Gardens yay!
