Whoa - been away for a bit, the BIg Day Out was great except for Bjork cancelling, the fact that most of the booze they were selling was only 3.5% and I didn't notice for the first few hours and couldn't understand why I wasn't drunk,and the ridiculous but inevitable toilet queues. 
Once I finally managed to find a bar that was selling wine everything improved - Kate Nash was pretty good and of course Arcade Fire followed by RATM was not to be sniffed at.
Have made the decision to go on a fruit picking mission to extend my Aussie visa so that should be hard work. I of course am thinking I'll come back all tanned and fit but of course I'll end up boozing a shitload so will probably just be exhausted and fat after 3 months!
Have been finding SG quite fun to read blogs and look at pics but finding it pretty difficult to integrate into any sort of group here. Been reading the forums and most people know each other pretty well now - especially all the hopefuls. Ach well, I'll keep reading and commenting here and there - I feel like the new kid at school again.
Back to drinking wine and dreading work tomorrow. Quite excited about next week though as I have finally saved enough cash to by my very own pole for my dancing! (It's one of the things I've really been enjoying since I moved over here) So I have 3 classes this week and then I'll get to hang upside down from the privacy of my living room to my hearts content after next week. Woo!
