Last night was sure a strange night....
-First of all- my band was playing at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood and before the show started, some crazy car accident happens right outside of the club. A man was pinned down under an RV, long story short- he died. The whole street gets blocked off and nobody can go in or out of the parking garage. It made me feel real bad when we did the song "Roadkill." Not being cruel. I swear.
-Some heckler in the crowd yells out that the vocalist sucks in my band (me) and keeps talking shit. I say it's better than the typical "show me your boobs comment," and he says I have no boobs, I need a boobjob and fuck you. Rude. In 3 years of being in this band I have never had such a negative comment. I have endless reviews praising the vocals in my band and lots of positive feedback from all over the world, so I shouldn't let this guy bother me. But he did. Oh well, he got his nose broken. Justice served. Oh, and thank you Travis from Cattle Decapitation for saying something to that asshole during your set. I believe he dedicated "testicular manslaughter" to that guy.
-Cattle Decapitation blew my mind as always. New drummer kicks ass. Travis is not a human singer. He is a god working as a double agent for Satan. My jaw drops every time. Seriously, do yourself a favor and check them out at CattleDecapitation.com
-I was drrrrrrunk last night and I tried to take a whiz in the Hollywood Metro station but luckily my pals Dirk and Keith stopped me. What? I love pissing in public.
-And I realized something. I haven't really linked my band to SG because I wasn't sure if creeps would end up at our shows and yell out rude comments. But you know what? Everyone I have met on this site RULES and I have made soooo many great friends. And hey, I already got rude people at my shows judging by last night. So hey....lovely community of SG- I am in a band called Watch Me Burn and I would be honored if you checked us out one day. (If you like weird grindcore that is). We are at WATCHMEBURN.COM.
