Yesterday I heard the words I never thought I would hear: my dad telling me I should KEEP my hair pink. Sometimes lately I go back and forth. I've had my hair like this for over a decade now, and I was considering maybe going black or something. After all of the "You are ruining your life" stuff you hear as a kid, it's funny to hear the same voice telling you the opposite as an adult. Now I am the conservative. He actually said it is probably helping my career, when some years ago it was definately something like "How are you going to get a good job or find a nice guy with tattoos on your knuckles and pink hair." Well, done and done. I am a successful camera assistant in the International Cinematographers Guild union, plus I've got the best guy in the world. But seriously, I love the folks. Mucho.

Also, in other very exciting news. I signed the lease on my first photo studio. All of this time I have been doing my photography out of my house and finding locations. I was running out of locations, and wanted my house to be more of a home. I get the keys May 1st and this is a big deal for me. It is a small space, but I got lots of big ideas. And for all of your benefit, it will be a haven for Suicide Girls to shoot some sexy sets in a creative environment. Yay.

What else? Not much. I am going to San Francisco later this month to attend ZakSmith's art opening at SF Moma. Lucky me will get to see my beloved Albertine, along with Toy, Luci, Charlie. I think a bunch of other SG's will be attending but not sure who... and hopefully I will get to meet up with my friends who live out there- and some local hotness like miss TAYE! Heck, if I get bored maybe I'll even get a tattoo from her homies.
