Roller derby has taught me how to book a show, skate backward,get money from anyone in the name of a cause,take out a girl who's 2x my size, start & avoid a bar fight, stage a debate, hold a mediation, throw an awards ceremony, talk someone out of quitting, talk someone into helping, befriend someone I have nothing in common with, sew a helmut cover, and even sometimes, keep my big mouth shut."
