work with me on this image... the little mermaid, swimming around zee ocean and bust into song... "it's a whooooolllleeeee new world" hahah.. um, yeah- that's sorta how I feel right now. Things have made some major changes in the last week... which has come complete with knee pads, a bruise on me ass, and blisters on my feet..... not too mention a renewed since of happiness with life. The Derby girls are amazing, and already there's so much love and respect amongst the team, you would think that we'd been friends for a lifetime instead of just a few weeks. My new skates are a bit rough, and need some breaking in, not too mention slippery little suckers... .. hence the first-ever blister on my ankle (on my ANKLE, WTF?) and the new bruise on my butt... hahah.. I'm a girl and I wear heels like any other gal, so blisters is not a new concept in our world... but ankels + blisters... new, and not too mention uncomfy. I'm quitting my second job at the resturant for a couple of reasons, one is the obvious conflict with Derby practice, and two- the boss can't remember that I work a full time day job and just for kicks, likes to tie one on and then make the schedule. It's just great when your constantly scheduled for shifts you couldn't in a million years possibly make... it's to the point now, that its not even frustrating anymore.. it's just funny. See me laughing.. hardy har har. All that noise aside, I'm thankful that the boss took me on and gave me a couple of shifts a week, and outside of the business aspect- he really is a loveable guy. Anyway... well... I guess that's it for now.. hopefully the photos from practice will be up soon and I can start sharing.. yayayayayayayay!!!
