Book

I am considering this my first book review, not for any serious publication.

Diving into Dharma Punx held my attention, mainly with the actual story of a guy waking up and realizing that getting into trouble, doing drugs, sleeping in alleys, the things that a street punk does, was getting really old. So thats the first half of the book.

I came to the chapter Die Die, My Darling. It talked about some book his father had or wrote, explaing what it would be like to live with only a year to go. He planned out what he was going to dive into first. He was going to travel Asia for months on end.

The author/main character of the book, Noah Levin, does not go into actual details of his meditations and breathing exercises, but just wanting you to be inspired(I should say there is like two pages of beginner exercises one could do). Now I don't if this could actually be worth debating if came to, but it seems that this book was written after he opened his own place. I am not sure if he opened his own in NYC or just works under somebody. I can't help but think this book was written as marketing tool and not for any sort of creative release.Well, both elements are there, just seem unbalanced. Either way, that shouldn't stop you from reading this book. Its a good quick read.

It will probably be a while until the next one. It's going to take a while for everyone to listen to all the CDs. And, if we do it too often, it may lost it's awesomeness. I'd rather do it every 6+ months, that way people ar emore excited about smile
