to become a runner you just apply. some studios will pay minimum wage others won't pay at all. once a runner you will enjoy many tasks such as making coffee and taking out the trash, cleaning up after everyone, answering the phone. basically all the stuff no one else will do. it is a shitty job but everybody has to pay their dues.
if you are going to be a runner you have to love the job. and if you are going to do you might as well do it in the best places. i suggest NYC or LA
