Oh, look! Another random pointless blog to make it look like I'm paying attention!
I probably won't get away with it twice in a row. *sigh* Alright, I'll try to pretend to be interesting for a minute...
So, for the first time in almost two years I picked up my Javascript book. I've been tinkering with my site (imbrognaphoto.com) and I think it's time to get rid of the frameset and learn how the kids are doing it these days. Of course, none of that matters without content...
I did make several updates to the portfolio itself. There's an all-new equine photography section, including the lovely Sadie making her pretty-pony face
She is actually a multiple national-award-winning mare, and I may post in more detail after Calista explains to me again what all that means. I know it's a HUGE deal, though. I'm so proud Indirectly, it means I'll have some of my photos of her published in the organization's newsletter (yay tearsheet!)
I also added some new work to the "people" section, with a couple new pieces on the way, and Miri are brainstorming on ideas for more figure/digital work, both for here and elsewhere...
Christmas was swell-- family gathered around the tree, too much eating, embarassing my brothers in front of their brand-new girlfriends. Y'know, the usual. It was actually low-key this year, because my mom was recently laid off and the rest of us have never been good at organizing holiday functions. But the important thing was that we were all there, and we arrived (and left) in one piece.
Work sucks (but doesn't it always?)
Snow is pretty if you're not the one in charge of clearing it.
Old friends coming back are a great way of seeing how wide the tree grows over the years.
New friends leaving are only bearable because of that.
AAAAND I plan on wandering aimlessly through Boston tomorrow night, possibly mugging someone for their First Night button and definitely taking lots of pictures of cold, drunken tourists. Gonna be awesome
