So, it's taken MONTHS, but my victory over Citicorp is at hand. My stupid Visa card which has been an albatross for years is mere days from being all straightened out, in the last possible second to replace my camera body before the first wedding of the fall. I've had the phone number for Calumet's rental department on hand just in case, as well as a couple generous friends, but it'll be nice to have my own equipment back o my own dime (well, sorta.)
Side note: I strongly oppose the inclusion of video in SLRs, especially when they still can't even handle the function properly. The SLR is designed to be a still camera, the sensor can't handle a continuous "on" state for more than a few minutes without cooking itself, and for such a useless feature I HATE paying an extra $200 for it. But they canned the D300, and the D300s is all you can get now, so I guess I'm getting a hybrid. Now, the dual card slots, on the other hand....
I've also been itching (literally, this poison ivy's driving me nuts) to get back to shooting my other stuff. I have two definite shoots and a couple other generally-interested folks in the next month, in preparation for a gallery show in the winter. Between that, the comic, Misa's set, even the "creative" jobs I've been pulling at work, I've been in imaging machine. And I want MORE.
