hot.
HOT.
argh, it's hot. i am redesigning a paul mitchell bottle for class...i think my version looks better.
the weekend is here for me. whoofuckinhoo. i don't think i look so hot in my pictures, but i sent them in anyways, i am not a wig girl.
...the art fair is here this weekend. mostly overpriced, crafty stuff, but there's always something or some booth or some artist that i find that makes swimming the mass of tourists with visors and sunglasses on worth it. i'm gon take pictures anyways, i think. last year i found this guy - http://emersonimages.com/
he is amazing. i mean, amazing. his presence alone was stunning...he's a 40-ish black man, with dreads and he was wearing some kind of wrap around thing and sandals. he looked so damn confortable. as soon as i saw his booth i got pulled into it - you can see his stuff on his website, but it is nothing like his full-size prints. nothing. he travels and captures people in the countries he goes to...you can't help but feel in awe of how he views people and gets that onto film. i love that man. he walked up to me and put his arm around me, and talked to me about the people for a while. didn't even try to sell me anything. i left & came back, i was broke but i wanted postcards at least, or somethng. he remembered me out of the thousands of people that passed by - but he remembered everyone he had contact w/ it seemed. he cut me a deal and i was lovin his smile. just one of those people/artists that have that ...thing. that you can't really describe. so hopefully i'll find someone similar again this year. check to see if he's coming near you - http://emersonimages.com/news/n1.html
and i'm gon sleep, relax, clean, and catch up on work. thank God for the weekend. O weekend, i love you.

He has permanents in the MoMA, MoCA, Gug. the whole nine yards... (also directed KIDS, Bully...)
Learned so much from him...good and bad...
