i have a lot of changes going on w/ my life and i'm kind of confused as to what i do because they're not bad changes...
feels kind of weird having things stirring around and not having to react.
in keeping with my efforts w/ staying away from introspection while i am feeling angsty, i am turning spandeau ballet and all my other miscellanous 80's shit on fucking 10 {not just 10 ...but fucking 10.} and working on my school & design shit until my bestest austin buddy who is in town calls me at some ridiculous hour tonight and tells me she needs a break from her family. and then we will go eat shitty diner food just because the waitress rocks. and discuss how i am getting to vegas so we can drive on to burning man...on erm, 5 dollars.
ay there's a lot of inspiring people here. i applied to model for SG because everyone is telling me not to. the only person that can tell me not to and get my compliance is my mum. the rest should know better.

The thing about art school, is that you come in thinking your going to concentrate on this one thing, but a lot of times you find something else that compells you. I don't think it's bad for your friend to switch concentrations. She'll probably always continue to draw. She might even return to figure drawing years down the road.
I started school as a painter, cuz that's what I thought artists did. They paint. By the time I had my thesis show, all of my work was photo-based. Then, a little later, I started making small objects. I applied to grad school as a sculptor, but the majority of my artwork now consists of small video projections. I guess what I am saying is it doesn't really matter in what medium you work, just as long as it feels right and you are happy.
It's a poster in my bedroom, hanging over my bed. I just can't get enough of that Limahl.
