also: last year for christmas my friend gave me this odd gift: it was a set of cards and on one side, an entire font face. on the other side, the type designer and a little bit about the font, including its main classification. i call this gift odd because it was PERFECTLY DESIGNED FOR MY ENJOYMENT. it is only a good christmas when you can say stuff like: Univers was the first font to be coded by reference number or sloping bar on the lowercase e? looks like a humanist font to me.

2) sleeping you can do when you are dead...keep the engine fueled with lots of alcohol is necessary (this coming from a straightedge girl!)

3) motivation comes and goes...don't beat yourself up about it!
