Sorry about the hiatus. I have returned in considerably higher spirits.
It turns out that the family meeting was more like my mum and dad telling me to "relax, you are buring yourself out; we don't care about your grades; we want you to be happy" My dad was like "dude, everyone messes up. Chill out, dry your eyes. You'll do better next time" and then they gave me a big hug
... I was like "whoa, is this my family?" I think we've finally patched some of out major communication issues. Like the American vs. Nigerian teenager thing is becoming clearer. It's so great to know that I don't have to
be perfect for them all the time.
So maybe this means I can chill on my drama and just be a kid for once. Yes, that sounds great.
My godson came over today. He just turned 3 and he totally kicks ass. Literally. He pile-drived me in the eye ! It didn't hurt because he only weighs 40 lbs. He really is a sweet little boy; he likes to kiss me on the nose.
