I like my profile pictures.

I have a tendency to listen to music that makes me really sad. Apparently this could qualify me as "emo" but since I don't wear eyeliner (all the time) or a bandana around my neck (and never will and want to use it to strangle the kids who do), it doesn't.

But, you should listen to the following songs, 1)Because songs that inspire emotion are great. 2)These songs are simply awesome in their own right and deserve to be heard.

1. Anberlin: "(*fin)" ~ Cities
This song is what some might describe as anthemic or epic. Or maybe just ic? Personally, although I'm not religious, I find myself connecting with the lyrics. Not to mention the climax of the song is so musically powerful you can't help but feel it.

2. Thrice: "The Artist in The Ambulance" ~ The Artist in The Ambulance
Some people don't like this song compared to the rest of Thrice's music, but again, I enjoy the lyrics profusely. In particular, I enjoy the last verse. An alternative that has a little more of a dark beat but doesn't quite meet the same cathartic release is The Melting Point of Wax. Or if you just want to listen to a slow paced, perfect tempo rock out song, Silhouette.

3. Silverstein: "Call it Karma" ~ Discovering the Waterfront
Just fucking sad. I love this band and I absolutely can't get enough of this song, but I often find myself turning it off because it leads to persistant introspection on failed relationships.

Those are my recommendations.
