Found you in depressionoutlet, I completely understand the feeling though. Hate it when ppl say, "you're so young, you've got so much life to look forward to" not realizing that the thought of life lasting much longer is incredibly depressing on its own. I'm 19, and have felt this way at least a few years, no one takes it serious and says i'll grow out of it. If I'm not gonna grow out of it soon though, I don't wanna stay here. Sorry for the rant... just wanted to let ya know you're not alone in feeling this way.

I was just browsing around and looking at profiles and journal stuff and all that, just to try and meet new people, and your journal entry kinda hit me and made me think.

Being older (28), I certianly know what you mean. I look back at the last 10 years. I see a lot of mistakes, a lot of bad times, a lot of just plain b.s., a lot of stupidness, and a lot of doing things the hard way. But I have no regrets in my life, and I don't look back on my life as a dissapointment or insignifianct.

I've always felt that everything has a purpose in life. IMHO, from 18 - 27 or so are the years where our adulthood forms for us. Everything we do during this time helps to shape our thoughts and values, and stuff like that.

Anyways, back to the question at hand, when I look back, it was all for a reason. I've had 10 years of bad luck and bad decisions, but I'm a stronger person for that now, and life is getting easier because of the hell I either put myself in or was put in.

Blah...Blah...Blah....I went off on a tangent, sorry. Just figured you'd like to hear from someone with age that yes, you'll look back and think how stupid you were at 18, and even at 22, but it's all worth it in the end.

Just live life the best you can and that's all that matters, IMHO.

Anyways, sorry to barge in, just figured I'd add my $0.02 in. biggrin
