Of course I see the difference and the intimacy, @iluna.  And I wouldn't argue that the feeling of oblivious rejection is more immediately cutting when the focus is on your most private body parts.  But it may not be as far apart as you think.  Architecture was a passion before I worked hard to get into an elite school, to which my family and I paid almost a quarter million dollars.  Where for 5 years I worked more than 80 hrs every week, and very often more.  Then I worked long hours underpaid, like almost everyone in this profession, for 15 years before I got a chance to really explore and express my own ideas rather than someone else's.  For those two decades I'd been rigorously honing my ideas and the skills to execute them.  And to do it I went into terrifyingly deep debt.  That's pretty personal.  Like you and @satanramm, I wanted to produce something that meant something real to me, and on my own terms.  So when someone boils their appreciation of all that down to a choice of material that literally anyone could (and does) make... it can feel kind of crushing.  Like any artist, I've learned to accept comments that are dumb or wrong, but sometimes it does feel as if I'd prefer it if they'd laughed at my dick.

I’m really interested in this “project that might fit better”, @iluna - please let me and your other supporters here know when it’s ready for unveiling.  I also agree that it’s absurd that SG doesn’t provide models more complete control over their pages - I think it used to be that way.  There was a very productive thread for a while in the “All Things SG” group called “how to make SG better” that got pulled down, but pretty much everyone there was also puzzled by this.  It’s not technically difficult, so it must be a policy decision, and that’s as disheartening as anything else.
