I planned to go to bed early tonight cause I have a 9:00 class.

VH1's I Love the 70s was on tonight. It was evil and put a spoke in my scheme cause I'm a complete 70s fetishist, and everything about that decade makes me happy and that particular I Love The... is my absolute favorite.

I haven't seen Animal House in it's entirety yet. I want to cause I know it's supposed to be great, but I get unbearably depressed during college party movies. I know they're fiction and no one's life is like that, but having failed out of Mizzou because I didn't get help for ADD when I should have, (and I wasnt even a huge partier) I'm somewhat bitter about those movies that should be escapism but just remind me of my own reality even more.

Wow... seriously depressing runon sentance there. sorry.

But it gets me thinking, how I hate both tragedies and happy endings. What I crave are stories where things are imperfect in the end, but that's ok. It's much more affirming to see someone not get what they want but still be happy. One of the Simpsons guys summed it up that that's the appeal of the Simpsons, that they're imperfect, things dont always work out, but thats alright cause it's just how life is. It's why a comedy like Annie Hall makes me cry much harder than anything that sets out to be a tragic tearjerker, it's just so real and sweet and hits home.

Ok I definitely didn't plan on writing anything angsty, so to end on a happy note (and mention The Simpsons again) during class if my mind wanders to the part in Homie the Clown when the billboard is affecting his brain and he sees everything as clowns, I have to fight with every fiber of my being to keep from busting out laughing. I'll sort of hiccup and I want to laugh so much cause the more I think about it the funnier it is and OY gweivan!
