*blows dust off journal*

Holy shit it's been ahile since I updated.

Well one of the annoying guys got kicked out of class for good when he got uppity with the teacher one too many times. And this wasn't heroic uppity by any means, but the "Excuse me, this material is beneath me" kind. No one in my class could blame the teacher one bit.

Lotsa shit been going on; yet another date with someone that despite him saying he'd had a crush on me for awhile dissapeared after date no. 1, I applied my ass off all over town to get a job but alas I am unemployed, I turned 20 (thanks for the birthday wishes guyssmile, I got a long awaited digital camera for my birthday, I got to see my good friend in Washington DC and then the next weekend I travelled up to Minnesota with my brother and dad to see our grandparents, I've been on a mad re-read of the Harry Potter books in breathless anticipation of Half-Blood Prince. EEEEEEEE I can't wait for it!

I'm finally organizing my damn room at least, too many books in too little space. If there's one thing the three of us 'kids' in the family have in common is a book addiction, although my brothers gravitate towards books on music while I love anything in 'sequential art' form (oh fine, comics) I've always been big on cartooning and I still insist that cartoonists should be more highly regarded as artists. Oh how Calvin and Hobbes started it all for me...

anyways... so.... um, yeah.

WOW! It's great to hear from you! It's been forever. That sucks about the guys bailing after the first dates... that's sorta happened to me twice in a row, after breaking up with my girlfriend a few months ago.

I agree! I think comic artists should be more highly regarded. But I do think they are getting some recognition finally. What with the success of all these superhero movies.
I love calvin and hobbes!!! Such a thoughtful, funny, human, and well-drawn strip.
