I survived the monologue and history test thank God. For my monologue I wasnt quite as prepared as I should have been but I had a very high energy level for it and the feedback I got was that it really fit me. This girl told me that it was almost like I was on coke or something, but she meant it as a compliment. I dunno... while I'm usually exhausted by the time i get to bed, during the gay I'm this little ball of energy talking so fast no one can understand a word I say. The most oft repeated phrase said to me is "slow down!" Oh well. At least it's nice to know I'll never need to use stimulant drugs, cause pretty much any substance containing either caffeine, sugar, or cartoons will get me jacked up in no time.

My brother's still in the hospital but they think they've finally found what was causing his pain; the drugs he takes for Crohn's. I'm not ure at this point what he's gonna do about it but it's a relief to know whats going on, and he seems to be doing better.

Shabbat dinner was fun. I stopped to see my brother briefly before trekking out to Hillel, and I left my laptop and dvds there so when my parents and other brother stopped by they could put on The Simpsons for him. Even though my own account is password protected and everyone else uses the guest account, I'm still paranoid that either one of my parents will find god-knows-what kinda pervy shit I keep on here. Anywho, I lucked out and sat across from two sexy-ass NJBs and talked/flirted with this guy named John from Boston, he's a bioengineering student and one of the sexiest nerds I've ever met.

I'm wondering where a girl can go for some straight-out fooling around. I'm supposed to see a movie on Sunday with this guy from my theater class who i wouldn't mind fooling around with no strings attached, but these other girls in my class said that from personal experience he's one fo those guys whose sweet on the inside and smart but will be all weird with you and confuse you. Dammit! I want to find out for myself but the last thing I need is drama. On the other hand one of the girls was saying that cause he was a Gemini it explains why he's kinda weird, and as fun as astrology is when you're all serious about it like that I take it with 10.000 grains of salt. Anywho, at the very least I've settled into a routine of smoking pot in the parking lot with some of the theater class. Pot doesnt really have a huge effect on me except making me hungry, it's like bowling; it's all about the social bonding.

After dinner I stopped by Left Bank Books in the Central West End and wished desperately I could live there instead of West County. I finally foudn the last 3 Dykes to Watch Out For books I don't have to complete my collection, but cause I forgot my keys and my family was with my brother I was locked out for a good half an hour before they came home. Then my mother goes ballistic because I admit that I had to park in the parking garage, which to her equates instant death. Walking alone at night in a non-suburban neighborhood- the way she was carrying on you'd think I told her I was the head of an international drug cartel. My dad had my back though, he understands my desire to roam. It's genetic.

Whew! I need to update more often.

I'm agnostic, but my roommates and a couple of other friends are Jewish (Messianic), and I have gone to a Passover Seder with them before. We keep separate dishes in the house, they don't drive on Shabbat, etc. Although the one things that bugs me is that one of them goes strictly by the rules, and not the idea. For instance, the girl takes Shabbat completely as a day of rest: doesn't do any work, goes on walks, and studies her Bible.

Her boyfriend, though, who is the one who converted her, doesn't really care what he does, as long as he doesn't break the rules he has chosen to live by. He will go out, but only if someone else drives. He'll go to movies as long as someone else pays. It seems like itls less of a day of rest, and more of a day that he just has to get around not being able to do certain things.

But again, I'm agnostic. What do I know?

I keep looking for a woman around here for some straight-out fooling around. Why do you sexy, geeky girls always have to be in places like St Louis?

With that said, if there's anything I can do for you, or, more to the point, to you, you just let me know.
