Well today's been a fun day. I got my very first speeding ticket, and although in the long run it's nothing tons of people haven't gotten before and it's not the biggest deal in the world. Still, there was that minute where I naively assumed that because it was my first time I would get off with a warning. Fuck, I even was hoping I would cry but it didn't come, I just stammered and was all "I'm sorryofficeritwon'thappenagain!" I'm just gonna mail in the fine and be done with it, I really don't have any excuse. For the record it was downhill, a deserted lane and thankfull no one was hurt. And it took my ego down a good few notches, I was getting too cocky that I had never gotten a ticket.

My brother had to come home for the night cause his back was hurting too much. He's been having health problems all week and tonight I just stayed and talked with him on the couch, trying to distract him from the pain with random inanities. I hate it that he has to deal with this shit, he's always been the one in the family with the good eating and excercising habits, not to mention being the most emotionaly stable, and this is how he gets rewarded. I know life isn't fair and disease doesn't discriminate but I'd like to see at least a tenuous relationship between goodness of heart and physical health.

So I don't end on a sad note, I had to mention that before theater, one of the guys in my classes had the Ramones blasting on his walkman speakers and invited me to air guitar with him, before discussing the sheer awesomeness of Rock and Roll High School and how cool it would have been if the Ramones had taken over our respective high schools. I think I'm in love.

Ive been real lucky not to get caught sppeding. I dont know how it works in the US but here, for the first two years; two speeding tickets means you lose yr license and have to start again. Its like a period of probation. Mines up on MArch 14th! Sorry about yr bro. for some reason life tends to shit on those who dont deserve it!

I've been pulled over 3 times for speeding and never got a ticket. Don't ask me how I did that. I guess the cops around here appreciate it when you admit it and show some humility.

The last time it happened I was speeding for a good reason though. My sister's friends called my cel saying she wasn't answering her cel or the house phone. I called both numbers and got no response. I was getting really worried so I was doing 80 mph down the fast lane. I got pulled over but the cop let me off cuz he couldn't be bothered with tallying up my fines. Looking back, it was pretty funny that his attitude was pretty much "ah fuck it, watch your ass kid!". Regardless, getting pulled over sure does put your ego in place.

I've never seen the original, but I have seen Rock and Roll High School Forever numerous times. Yes, that's the one with Corey Feldman. Looking back on it is amusing because now that I play guitar I can plainly see the only member of the band that was actually playing their respective instrument was the drummer. Also, who could forget this line: "HEY! THAT NOT MY PEE!"
