Yay! I... am.... back!
(*pauses for applause*)
(*hears only the enthusiastic chirping of the crickets*)
My husband finally got my computer back up and running which is wonderful! I have so much to catch up with online!
Not much has been happening since I went analog. I finally got a chance to play with Average... twice. (*grins*) If she can find a job on my end of town, she may end up renting a room with us. She left her husband not that long ago and is currently renting a sofa for $75 a week! And she only makes $6/hour.... not good. We wouldn't charge her anything at first until she got on her feet.
I am also in love with a new band who also happens to be local. A bunch of us went to Runaround Sue's (redneck ghetto fabulous!) but they had this awesome band playing: Scarlet Androgyny. I didn't get to sit and listen to them as my friends wanted to go dancing so I tracked them down online. They are playing a couple of different venues over the next couple of weeks so I am going to go check them out.
I have lost over 15 pounds in the past 5 weeks. Woohoo!
I have a cute pair of brown cargo pants that are too small for me. My first mini goal is to be able to comfortably wear them. I tried them on last night and I can get them buttoned now. I figure another 15 pounds and I should be able to get them zipped up, too! (*giggles*)
I am a big fat loser!
Yes!
Oh, and my trip to MN last month was AWESOME! We flew the same airline I took to see my seester in february. Back then, I was a fewe inches too big for the seatbelt and needed an extension but this time... click... without even having to suck it in. So who knows how much I have actually lost since then.
We got to Hubby's rents around 6pm and within 30 minutes, my sis-in-law said she was on her way to geet me abd would I mind if we stopped by her coven for a meeting first? I had to change what I was going to wear out but other than that, I had no issue with it. I threw on my rockstar shirt, black pants with the safety pins lined up to the knee, and my "fuck me" boots (these boots are so sexy, even I would fuck me in them) and I was on my way.
Her coven was pretty cool. They had a session regarding totems which was interesting. The HPS and HP seemed impressed that I knew a bit about their topic for the week so that was cool. After hanging out with them for a while, SIL and I were on away to Lucy's. When we finally found it, we were... um... disappointed. It was no longer a lesbian bar: it was a Hmong bar. (*sighs*) So we drove around a bit and then she dropped me off at Clay's where my hubby was hanging out.
The guys that were at Clay's "testing the computer set up for the gaming" the next day all seemed genuinely happy to see me. They even liked my new look which was pretty cool validation for me considering they are all 40+ computer geeks. (*giggles*) Seriously, it was nice that they even noticed. I hung out there with the guys and even played a little Unreal Tournament until 5am. I got good at running around and avoiding being killed but sucked at killing.
Hubby and I went back to his parents' place and crashed. I slept until noon and then got up to paint my nails for the official day of the party. He was up by 3ish.
We got to Clay's at 5pm and, in usual Clay fashion, his house was not ready for the party. I asked if there was anything I could do to help, thinking he would have me dust or vacuum or move things off the table. Nope. He had me install a new screen on his screen door! WTF?! So much for the newly painted nails.
That was all he had me do, though, and I learned how easy it actually is. Plus, I got to bend over and show of a little cleavage to the guys inside so it wasn't a complete waste.
I ended up drinking and playing a few different card games until 8am. Yep. 8am. And, in usual ClayCon tradition, footsy was being played under the table during the games.
It felt good to be home.
We got back to his parent's place and I crashed until 11:30. He got up at noon. His brothers and their families were over for lunch so we hung out with them until 2:30pm when we headed back tot he airport to come home.
The trip was much too short. Next year, I will have more vacation time so we can tack a day onto both sides of that weekend and I can hopefully see my family for a bit as well. Even Mom. (*giggles*)
