Inertia.

One of the most constant thing in my life has been Inertia.

Main Entry: inertia
Pronunciation: i-'n&r-sh&, -shE-&
Function: noun
Etymology: New Latin, from Latin, lack of skill, from inert-, iners
1 a : a property of matter by which it remains at rest or in uniform motion in the same straight line unless acted upon by some external force b : an analogous property of other physical quantities (as electricity)
2 : indisposition to motion, exertion, or change : INERTNESS
- inertial /-sh&l/ adjective
- inertially /-'n&r-sh(&-)lE/ adverb

Throughout my various jobs, I've always felt like a rock being spun at the end of a string, the centripetal forces of office politics, lies, excuses and temper flares keeping me in orbit of a company until the string finally broke and send me hurtling in search of something else.

Right now, my job has just taken that tack. The centrifuge has been unbalanced, it's only a matter of time before its axis break and I find myself on the street. At this point, the Inertia cannot be contained, we've reached the omega point, terminal velocity that will cause the company to cease to exist.

It's funny because in hindsight, it was obvious. There was no way it was going to work. It smelled rotten even then.

The only blank left to fill, is how many weeks before I stop working. The other guy I was hired (and because of) is leaving, he's got another better offer. I might parasite on him for the third time in a row. Maybe not. Frankly, I only want enough money to take care of my 2003 taxes and live until june without too much credit card debts.
