My nearly decade old super favorite t shirt was killed in the spin cycle today. One is having a hard time finding the ironic humour in the fact that it was my Sonic Youth "Washing Machine" tee. I was so sure I'd lost my favourite Ramones shirt in India earlier this year. I even saw a girl wearing the exact same one - what are the odds? But it turned out some hotel staff had taken it from my room to wash it. Maybe it was a hint. Bastards.
i was stabbed in the chest in a mugging a few milimeters from my heart about 12 - 13 years ago. and i was wearing a mekons shirt -- it was my favorite shirt -- naturally the medics tore the shirt up as soona s i got inthe ambulance.
and i used to be pals with the band (dunno if you know their msusic) anyway so when the singer dude jon heard of what happened and me complainging about the short, he sent me his sole remaining copy of that shirt!!! sorry, boring story i know.
