I'n nearly 30 years old and my mother still gives me Easter baskets... At least she doesn't make me hunt for them anymore.
So drivers in this city are fucking nuts. Yesterday was the 2nd time in a month I almost got hit in a crosswalk by a driver that was looking the other way. I was walking across a side street, and some idiot in a taxi cab was speeding toward me. I assumed he would stop at the posted stop sign, but when his grill came within a foot of my knees I screamed "HEY!" and realized the dumbass was looking at something on his left and not even watching the road. He turned to look at me and I pointed at the stop sign. He yelled some gibberish at me, and I shrugged and kept walking. These people make me not want to even walk anywhere in this town. At least there was a hospital 100 feet away if he actually did hit me. And I think I'd own that cab company if he did.
