to me, this is the root of everything.
this is why i'm comfortable as an atheist. to me, there is nothing that can be more moving or magical than the knowledge that we are made of exploded stars. that we, and everything we can conceive of, are, at our very basic atomic level, made of the same stuff.
with this knowledge, hate is harder. selfishness becomes moot. with this knowledge, we recognize ourselves in every smile we see.
think of this now, think of how death feeds life. how it makes life possible. think upon your death.
what will you reflect upon in those last moments?
what will stand out to you, about your time on this planet? will you think about the moments of beauty in your life? the amazing sights you've seen? will you wish you smiled more? hugged your loved ones more? you will hope that you have given back to this world more than you took.
now, go live your life with this knowledge.

This provoked some thoughts that made tears come to my eyes, good tears. If I died today I would be happy with the person that I am, with the peoples lives that I have touched and made better, the love that has been in my life, the wonderful moments not of things but of people and achievement and happiness!!!
