mmm.... its early, but i can tell i need sleep.... think im gonna take one of the sleepy pills the nice officer gave me the other day. Didn't sleep last nite... can't... ever since I've gotten back from Iraq, I haven't been able to sleep more than 2 to 4 hours a nite without waking up feeling like theres something I NEED to do... doc says I have something that I need to talk to the shrink about that I'm holding inside, or something... I tried to tell him that what I did doesn't bother me... I spent a week and a half sifting thru body parts in the Pentagon... i'm telling u, finding things like an infants shoe...with the foot still in it... will change your whole perspective on life... but that was eons ago... 2001, and seeing dead Iraqis... or even dead US soldiers... well, thats the price we pay... we volunteered and we're full grown adults, and the Iraqi's, well, they're partly to blame, because they lack the back muscles to stand up and point hte bastards out that did it, knowing full well the guy making the bomb lives down the street... no, I think its because for a whole fucking year, I had maybe 9 or 10 days of leisure.... if you can call it that. So, naturally, I must work... or stay active.. I just hate taking pills... I'll take an asparine, I'll drink beers, don't get me wrong, it's just that my brother has Bi-polar disorder(or so they say) and it kills me to see him zombied out on shit that's pushing him further into his social shell... bullshit... the easiest way to rise above is to throw yourself in the lions den... baptism by fire... fuck... it sucks, and anyone who's successful has put their ass in the wind at least once... as the british say....
