So far so good. The few people I've met here on SG have been awesome. A good amount of funny nonsensical conversation taking place, along with some straight up good conversation. I've already met some very interesting people. Totally worth the price of a membership. So thanks. Now on to the present state of things. This is MY profile after all. Anywho, we're still looking for a guitarist & bassist. I've got my hopes up a little bit on a pair of guys a friend of mine recommended. We've been talking a bit, and I'm meeting up with the guitarist today. We'll all be jamming next week, so we'll see how it goes. All previous auditions have been total disasters. But we've gotta be picky, this is the only family in which you can pick the members. And I refuse to get stuck with the crazy cousin who eats candles and craps out perfect wax replicas of denzel washington. No sir, not me! Tho I could probably make a killing on ebay!
In the personal life, I hit up Atlantic Ave (club/bar downtown area) last friday night with a handful of friends. Met a nice girl from out of town, which is always cool. But all in all, thats just NOT my scene. I gave it a fair shot, I was just out of my element there. I havent been surrounded by that many tools since HS, one more brook fade haircut and I was gonna roundhouse kick a bouncer for letting them in. What else, saturday night my drummer and I went to the Ft Lauderdale strip. Nnothing special tho. Saw a local band called State of the Art pretty much play nothing but covers... which was okay if you like to hear every early 90's radio hit in one sitting. But I went expecting to hear originals. The bar was nice tho, the rest of the strip was lame. Had some crazy asian and her friend from Virginia walk over and chat it up for a bit, again, always cool to meet new people. But where are the SG's around here??
Err... More recently, I started playing my 360 again, damn things been sitting for like 2 months.. Still have a little bit of tuning to have done to the Trans Am to get the new cam running smoothly, but its fast as shit. So far so good. Still loving my new iPhone, I feel naked when its not on me. I'd totally love to be naked right now with nothing but an iPhone! Oh yeah. I should do an SG set covered in Apple products called iMac. BRILLIANT!
