So yesterday we FINALLY got started on this most disgusting basement ever to exist. Let me describe it......

concrete floor - no carpet
theres a leak from one wall when it rains
fake wood paneling
ugly 50y/o cabinets stuck to one wall
the ceiling is a bunch of foam tiles w/ brown metal things that are holding it up
old smelly carpet on the steps/landing that's an ugly brown, yellow, orange-ish color
and....yeah

the plan is to fix the leak, paint the paneling, rip out the cabinets, put carpet down, bring some furniture down here, rip up the smelly existing carpet, paint the ugly metal things holding up the foam tiles, and take the tiles down, take them outside, and dust them off, and where we rip the cabinets out, we have to put paneling there.

yeah....yesterday Dad, Brian, and I ripped out the cabinets so now theres a huge chunk of concrete wall and in some spots some poop colored glue marks. how disgusting.

I have the carpet picked out, the color I want the walls, and I found matching paneling...so now Im just waiting on my father to fix the leak and order carpet. next weekend Im going to start on the tiles and the walls. hopefully it wont take TOO long.

yeah. so now what? Im sitting here..writing this. At 2 I have to go to my grandparents place because she wants us to go eat with them. Yippee.

yesterday was really nice. the weather rocked.
