I think he is nice looking--distinctive without being OMGHAWT, which a Doctor should be (see Tom Baker, Christopher Eccleston); I like him being an unknown so they can give him a whole new personality thing without any prior expectations (if they have him ape David Tennant's Doctor I will stop watching).
