if you knew me as well as my closer friends do, you would realize im capable of housecleaning, lightweight lifting, and changing lightbulbs.
me and a d/w removal would definitely be a baddddd idea lol.
i discovered the hole also leads to one of my cabinets, and somewhere around the corner - probably towards the stove as opposed to the d/w. (oh, and yes, d/w is apartment office code for dishwasher lol).
i tried banging the drawer on the stove around to scared them out, but it only got them to be visible within the hole, not accessible....
