I'm seriously considering going and getting a rat after this next payday. I need something to pet and cuddle and care for. My only problem is that sometimes I leave my place for 24 to 48 hours. Does a rat need a lot of companionship? Or is it like a cat that can be just fine on it's own for a couple of days? I have two roommates that can look in on it (or them, if I get two). But I don't want them to have to do more than that.

I know a few of you have rats, so share your experiences please. Thanks!

I will share ANY information that you need....I did every thing myself, from food, to living arrangments etc.
I have a folder on here that shows some of my girls that I had smile In total in my life I've probably owned about 22 rats smile I love them SO damn much, and love teaching people about them to get the most out of them smile

My boyfriend has had three rats. They are very social and shouldn't be alone. Get them when they are young and around the same time or they may fight forever. They will groom each other which is adorable. Good luck, ratties are awesome! love
