I'm crying... listening to this song does that to me.


It's his ringtone on my phone. He used to find little songs to play for me all the time. I miss that. Why does that go away?

For those of you in long term relationships... How long did it take you to get out of that "honeymoon phase"?
Do you still do cute little things for each other?

Sigh. I love little things, like flowers on my birthday (or any day for that matter, I'm an absolute sucker for roses), a surprise visit when I feel down or lonely, a quick call just to say "hi, i love you," a little present (a stuffed animal, candy, whatever, doesn't matter). He used to draw pictures of us all the time. I miss that too. I feel like the honeymoon phase ended for us way too soon.

and I didn't get any flowers for my birthday. Every girl deserves to get flowers for her birthday. I know. I'm silly, but I try to make it happen for the women who are close to me. I really want a guy to do that for me. I really want that guy to be Iggy. Two birthdays together and no roses. frown

frown this blog makes me sad.

it'll be three years for my boyfriend and i come May. i'm not really sure when it was over, but i have never really been a lovie dovie type of girl with most things.
we still do things though that are just between us. like a little thing we go through when we say i love you or things like that.
though granted, we don't live together yet (money issues). so who knows.

I know in my case, those small things are what keep a relationship going. I'm grateful for the distance that myself and El_Bandito have sometimes only because it forces us to really step back and make the effort to remind ecah other how much we care...
I'm a strong believer that it will continue when we are together permanently.

Once those small gestures stop, it feels more like a friendship than a romantic relationship.
