Its been a very strange few days....

Last Monday and Tuesday were very strange days back at work. I instantly wanted to leave and was talked out of quitting by my boss. I think it was just a kneejerk reaction to trying to put things into perspective.

After work on Wednesday, I went to the physio and was given an exercise program - she believes that I have a tear in my cartilage. Not a serious one, but the kind that would be operated on if I had been some sports star. But, you're average person needs two/three months physio. Its painful doing it, but it beats going under the knife.

I met up with a friend afterwards after she had got back from her holiday. We were chatting, and she got a phone call. When she came back, she just burst into tears. The sister of one of her close friends, who I also know in a going out to drink capacity, had died the week before aged 30 from a brain tumour that wasn't diagnosed until it was too late. Just really tragic. He'd asked her not to tell anyone, but trusted me enough not to let on to him and respect his wishes for privacy when I saw him. Just awful and really upsetting.

I was out with a friend the night after and had a good chat until the early hours and I made a last minute decision to go out on Friday - I'm glad I did, as I met up with Rik - despite talking like he normally does, his face was knotted at times. He left early to see his sisters boyfriend to make sure he was okay.

After I left the pub, I went to the club just round the corner and had a fun night....but ended up at the casino again. This time I came out just a few pounds up. But I got in at 5.30am...and had to be up at 9.30....and I was.!!

In the afternoon I went to a party - kind of a mini internet meet, though 4 of us knew each other already and the other 5 knew each other...so it all merged. I got very, very, very drunk....*scenes deleted*

Typically, in the morning I was the only one that was ill....but I had had far too much to drink....ooops!! Eventually got home about 5.00pm after a hug and a kiss and being asked "When will I see you again?"...."Hopefully very soon...". We'll see! I was kinda hoping we'd get on and hook up at the party, and we did...

I'm totally shattered now though.....
