WEDNESDAY POST: (delayed as SG seemed to go down!)
One of those weeks!! So far.....nothing exciting, the usual work and shit. Monday and Tuesday were spent prepping for our financial backers quarterly audit (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz). Today was spent answering all their inane questions that my boss really should deal with but can't be bothered to...which means I end up not doing the work I need to do and end up bringing it home at the weekend.
Grrrrr!!!
Still, its not like I've got anything planned for this weekend - except watching the FA Cup final with a few friends and hoping that my team win!
Oh well, its getting late....better put my head down as I was totally shattered at work today....I think at one point I did actually fall asleep. I'll just claim I've got narcolepsy if they catch me.....
FRIDAY:
My boss announced that he's leaving today. His new job starts on July 4th, but he's intending to leave as soon as the new guy is up to speed with the job. This leaves me in an awkward position, as I'll now be the longest serving member of the finance team by some three and a half years and I'll be expected to take on extra work and not get paid for it as I know we have no money for payrises...
I want to leave, but I also want to ride through the rough patch as it really does look good on a CV if you can say that you helped a failing company into a success again.
We'll see....
Off to a mates engagement party tomorrow night, which will be fun. Must not get drunk and feel left out though....my friends are dropping like flies to the old engagement thang....
