A big update. Ish.

After going to bed at 4.15am on Friday morning and getting up for work three hours later, I proceeded to work in a somewhat dazed state. I'd hardly had any sleep all week - 10 hours in three nights.....I breezed through work and left on time.

Got home and just collapsed onto the sofa. Just stayed in, on the net, music...

It's Election Night!!!

And I didn't vote. I waited for a bit before work, but it was slow moving, and this evening I've been far too busy with paperwork from work.

Bit of a nightmare day - the system was down for most of the day - before I'd printed out all my reports. Typical. Instead of doing what needed to be done, I did...

What are your feelings on Blair's third term then? Over here we only really get to see him through the filter of foreign policy. I've not much of an idea how he is doing for you all on the domestic front.

OKay, okay...a new photo!

Its a bit more recent (like this evening!), as the last one was 18 months old! I'm going to get my backside in gear and put some photos up in an album - just need to do a bit of optimising on them...and maybe the odd airbrush... whatever

What an odd day though - I went to bed at midnight last night...

Wow--that pic looks so different from the previous one! You are chameleon-like.

20 more layoffs--good god man--I hope you are on good terms with the management.smile

I like your exam story...I wish we could pull mitigating circumstances notes for real life shit.

My body aches. Its quite funny actually when I look back. I'm not going to be doing it in a hurry again though....

Work was okay today, for a change. Month end and I'm always busy, and I got to do something slightly different this afternoon. Still boring in the grand scheme of things, but at least I got to do it.

And I tried...

Woah.....rewind!

I have been 100% out of action today. But, that would have something to do with Sunday. It started bright and early - 10.30am, and chilled out. After eating and getting ready, I headed on round to my friends place and a few of us just sat around and listened to music for a couple of hours.

Then we made our way down to...

Again with the plans.....

Although I've stayed in once again, I was half hoping that it would end up that way. All my friends in couples have deserted the city for bank holiday weekend, and all the singletones do shift work and were either working today or have an early start. No matter how much I hate my job, at least it sticks to "normal"...

Well, I've stuck in a 'vouch for you', so next time nic gets round to going through the list she should let you in.
Hope you find somewhere suitable for your grandparents...finding the right place (especially for a couple) can be hard, but there are some wonderful ones around.

With muted trepidation, I bring you the hacked down events of the day.

<cut>

Hmmm.

Nothing of note happened today. Despite it being payday, I decided to stay in and save my money for when I actually felt like going out instead of just going out for the so-called "thrill".

Its been a productive night though. I've managed to get some writing done - one...

Well, for a change I've been trotting round the main boards and saw the comments you made in the thread about sguk/uk members, so i scooted over here to look you up and down and see if you were suitably twatty ..... uh, sorry, that should be 'elite' i think, to be vouched for should you ever want to join sguk.
And you seem ok. biggrin
Actually i think the problem at the moment is tht nic is just really busy, and hasn't had time to update the vouch for list for a while, so theres a bit of a backlog, but if you give me a heads up if you apply I'll look out for your name coming up and vouch for you.

Forces of habit prevail.....

Got into work on time this morning and first thing I did was fire up Firefox and enter http://www.suicidegirls.com/

Ooops.....I'm hoping that doesn't get picked out at the next website traffic review...

Pretty run of the mill day...again. With any luck I'll be out early tomorrow. It should be pretty easy - the boss is off tomorrow, so I should be...

And here it is, the end of another day. A fruitful day, in the grand scheme of things. Though there is still one thing that I would like to know - just what is the big secret at work?

Ok, so we had the lay offs last week, but there is till something bubbling in the hotpot of conspiracy. And, out of 200 people, only...

Two days here....but nothing much really happened! Two boring days of work....well, almost two days. I just didn't feel like going in first thing yesterday, so I looked up my list of excuses for being late and ticked off the one that said "My shower broke at the weekend and the plumber is on his way".

Worked a treat. I sounded fresh enough so it...

Ah.

Its Sunday....I can't really say that I've done that much since Friday, but a hell of a lot has happened....and for the most part it has been entirely unexpected.

After a pretty uneventful Friday which largely (erm, wholly) consisted of recoveing from Thursday, I managed to haul myself out of bed on Saturday morning at a pretty reasonable time.....that time being 10.30am. I'd got...

Wow.....what a night!! biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

The Thermals were excellent, even if the sound enginner couldn't get the vocals right. They played a blinding 20 song set that last about 40-45 minutes. Was down at the front for the most of it - and spent most of my time protecting a small girl from the crowd behind.

The thing is, the protective barrier at the front wasn't fix...
