Well, apart from yesterday and today, I've had a decent few days (and explanation for the last two days will be forthcoming...).

So, it started on Friday. I was in no mood really to go out - tired from work and I didn't think I could streatch to Friday and Saturday out, so I stayed in. I chatted to a few friends online over a...

Again, done nothing, so as, erm, promised a "review" of Battlefield Earth....

Battlefield Earth

What was I thinking? Two minutes in, and I was already regretting it. Scenes that looked like they had been thrown out by Paul W.S Anderson after the mess of Soldier opened the film after a brief explanation about man being an endangered species, aliens, yadda, L. Ron Hubbard, Church of...

As I've really done nothing of note since I got back from my sisters - just tv, music, work and my comp, todays update is a movie review from last nights fine film:

Under Siege 2: Dark Territory

After blowing all the budget on an overblown opening, set in, woah! Space! The makers were already over par. This was probably due to be some bid...

There was an Under Siege 2?!? Gah, someone please do the universe a favor and blow the earth to bits.

I watched the first when it came on tv a few weeks ago (the one when he's locked in the freezer, etc.) and having never bothered with Steven Seagal, I was surprised this guy (or Chuck Norris, etc.) is even able to get a gig in an action movie.

I could say that I've got excuses for my total lack of updates recently, but to be 100% honest, I don't. Well, except that sometimes the day has been so boring that there isn't anything that I could possibly say to make it exciting - without lying and creating some kind of double life for myself. Now, there's a thought......

Monday to Thursday created a...

I'm really lazy, aren't I? I got off to a good start with healthy daily updates, and now I'm reduced to updates every few days. Damn work taking way 95% of any possible excitement that I can have during the week. It seems that I do more work at home than actually at work these days...

Oh well.

Wednesday - yet more problems at work....

Quite a busy holiday weekend, for a change!! Saturday morning was spent just food shopping and walking round the city centre in the sun. Relaxed in the afternoon, before I met up with friends in the evening.

We went to a fasr food restaurant, and we pretty much all ordered the same - 1/4 chicken with two side dishes. MIne came first, and I thought...

Sounds like you had a pleasant holiday weekend. I am always wary of the 1/4 chicken too - how the hell do they make that fair?

So have they found a new boss to replace the new boss that lasted, like, one day?

sounds like a pleasent weekend. walking around a lot and not eating much are typically a good way of getting nicely drunk easier. begian beers also tend to knock you up a bit harder than expected.

Huge update.....slacking a bit this week!! wink

Nothing sordid, sadly.

TUESDAY

Standard day...nothing to write home about. Did a Dolly Parton and then got myself home ASAP and just chilled out doing sweet FA....twas a nice relaxing evening, and we are kinda getting decent enough weather, And the Grilled Salmon with butter fried pasta with chopped tomatoes and olives stirred in was sublime.

WEDNESDAY

Another formulaic...

Hey, I saw your post about Number One Cup and clicked through to your profile...you like The Shins too! I'm going to see Dinosaur Jr in a couple of weeks. Most excellent taste Mister. That goes for TV and films too, though I don't consider Magnolia that great...

Monday again....thankfully next weekend is a three day weekend!! smile

Saturday was a pretty good day - except that my team (Machester Utd) lost the cup final after dominating the whole match...which was annoying.

In the evening I went to one of my friends engagement parties. It was a good night, but not enough people turned up that should really have been there....still, he's pretty disorganised...

WEDNESDAY POST: (delayed as SG seemed to go down!)

One of those weeks!! So far.....nothing exciting, the usual work and shit. Monday and Tuesday were spent prepping for our financial backers quarterly audit (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz). Today was spent answering all their inane questions that my boss really should deal with but can't be bothered to...which means I end up not doing the work I need to...

A couple of intense physio sessions seems to have sorted out my shoulder....for now!!

Nothing much has really happened since Wednesday. The last two weekends have left me with pretty limited going out funds, and with a friends 30th party in two weeks, I'm keeping a large chunk back for that. I'll need it! The last two times we've got together have been expensive and...

Argh!

Too busy these last three days. Its been crazy at work and my mind hasn't been on anything creative whatsoever.

Maybe things will get better, but it looks likely that I'll have to bring work home again this week. Nuts.

No excitement, except a physio friend of mine came round tonight and thinks I have a seperated shoulder - which is causing me a...

Ouch on the shoulder--you need to get that shit fixed up quick if it is truly separated. frown
