ok kids, let's take a moment and remember something. something that was fun, or happy, or positive in our lives. so many times we get bogged down with the menial bullshit we wade through as humans eeking out a living. a lot of you have seen me feel a lot of heat and hurt lately, and thank you for the well wishes, but i thought today i'd share good happy feelings.
today, i picked some wild blackberries from the vine, and it reminded me as a kid how much i looked forward to this time of year. as i shared them with the chicken, who delighted in them as much as i did(take THAT! atkin's diet!), i remembered how much i loved summer, the evening sunshine, and blackberries.
then, a few minutes ago, i watched one of our dogs fight with her tail. first she chased it, then must've gotten dizzy because she fell down and then began growling and arguing with her tail, which responded by wagging at her, which pissed her off some more, so she pulled her tail with her teeth, and chewed on it.
i LAUGHED at this dog. oh, i laughed.
