thanks for the comments, ladies. makes me feel REAL special

so i will not be here for awhile. i AM going on a trip and i SHALL neither strangle nor pummel any of my family members. my willpower will be unshakeable. we're going to 'the island', so called (i believe) cuz it's the largest in s.e. alaska. there awaits a trailer with no running water. good christ on a stick, this is gonna be FUN! then up to thorne bay for an arts and crafts fair. hopefully the metalworker who refuses to wear pants (he was born to wear kilts) will be there. his medieval weapons are hawt. and then on to wrangell, a town where apparently nothing really happens. they do have this old inactive garnet mine where you can find some kickass rocks, but according to the law, the garnets belong to 'the children of wrangell' so you gotta run like hell. and THEN, up to sitka to visit my aunt/uncle and cousins at their brand spanking new lodge.
so. um. no strangling for me.
