It's a Geek thing...lol. Having the numbers the same for all parts of the date doesn't happen that often and some people believe something lucky or significant will happen on these types of days. For example, the Chinese intentionally started the Olympics on 08-08-08...the Chinese believe the number 8 is very lucky.

Also, (warning...now this is really Geeky...) 101010 in binary is "42". As fans of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" now, "42" is the ultimate answer...LOL. Also, 42 is one of the "Lost" numbers.
