After thinking about it for a few days, I think I've got my lists narrowed down. I don't really think the orders are that important, so once you get past the number one spot, it's just a list, not one based on the percentage of how much I appreciated it. I may include notes on some.

Top Ten Movies of 2005

1. Walk The Line -definitely my favorite movie this year, possibly ever.
2. Squid and the Whale -hello! a little chronic masturbator?! jeff daniels with a full fuckin' beard?! A+!
3. Brokeback Mountain -I wish I knew how to quit you!
4. Shopgirl -C'mon...it's got Jason Schwartzman in it...I would have picked him anyday.
5. Thumbsucker
6. Jarhead
7. Jesus Is Magic -Do you have to take drugs so you don't cry during sex?
8. King Kong
9. Good Night and Good Luck -I honestly am still amazed that I loved this movie so much.
10. A History of Violence -Stairwell sex = good movie.

Top Ten Bands of 2005
note: these are not new bands to 2005, just bands that made 2005 ear-gasmic.

1. Tilly and the Wall -could you be my favorite band? I think you might...
2. Scissor Sisters -Ana Matronic cannot be any greater.
3. Panic! at the Disco -blah blah blah...overrated...blah blah blah...I fucking like to dance.
4. The Academy Is... -I've been a fan since 2004, but I got closer to these guys this year and they mean so much more to me now.
5. Electric 6
6. Jack's Mannequin
7. Death From Above 1979 -just the right mix of dance and metal.
8. Mates of State
9. Morningwood
10. He is Legend -everyone needs a little screaming once in a while...

samazon:
No, you're definitely not lame, but if you want to listen to a really spectacular band, you should try out Tilly and the Wall.

I haven't seen that artist, but I'll check her out. smile
