'happy birthday to you'
i took you out to dinner for your birthday today. not that you knew it, you were asleep the whole time. i just couldn't stop looking at you. i can't believe you're a month old. it seems like just yesterday we came home, but i can't seem to remember a time you weren't here with me. every day it seems like you're learning something new, figuring something out, just becoming more and more there. i was looking at pictures from the hospital and our first couple of days home, and i can't believe already how much you've matured, grown up, started looking and acting so much more like a tiny person instead of just a baby-lump.
and, little miss, you happen to be a wonderful date.
