"it's raining men"

okay, not men - but pink onesies, for sure. had Sophie's baby shower at work last week and holy shit! this little critter now has more clothes than i do right now! she's fuckin' set for the first 3 months. of course, after that it'll get cold and she'll get naked, but there's always christmas, right?

had the 30 week dr appt on Monday. while a lot of things were said (all good!), the thing that has stuck in my head is that he would be "very happy" if i made it to 34 weeks. for the uninitiated, a full term pregnancy is 40 weeks - and they don't really sweat anything under 37. 34 is early. not major medical miracle early, but early. and mostly early 'cause i still have A TON OF SHIT to get done before this little girl arrives. not the least of which is to buy her some fucking diapers, lol.

so - excuse my inattendance, but - duty calls.

oh oh oh - and in super fun surprise news: we bought my dad a puppy for his birthday next week! don't tell him, but it's so exciting!!!
