'too sweet to be sour, too nice to be mean'
so, i feel obligated to update here, not because i have anything terribly interesting to say, but because i'm tired of seeing the depressing news and people asking me how the kenny rogers show i didn't get to go to went, lol.
right, well then. first off, i'd like to encourage everyone to go say somethin' sweet to my new friend goodbyeMCD, whose journal reliably makes me smile. be nice, k? i'm trustin' y'all unsupervised.
so, went and hung out with the folks last night. they were out of town for the 4th and i hadn't been up for a couple of days before that, so that was nice. their house is cooler than mine and they saved me some brussels sprouts from dinner, good good good. it really is too fucking hot to eat or think or pretty much anything around here lately. oh, and watched the first ep of deadwood that ironbhr was sweet enough to send out (my parents were already hooked, but i'm too cheap to pay for hbo, lol). cool cool. think i might change my alias to limber dicked cocksucker, but i haven't decided for sure.
plannin to take it easy and stay in tonight. got the first season of sex and the city, lost in translation (maybe it'll play this time), and mulholland drive, not to mention an entire box of books. i think i can make it through one night in without losing my mind...
tomorrow night (saturday), gonna try and catch the railbenders in this coors light competition thing down at the blue mule. graham's givin out free tix at the tavern, so there doesn't seem to be any reason not to. local folks contact me if you wanna keep me company. i'm beginning to think i'm the only person i know in denver who listens to country.
sunday the ex (not the one with the dog) is having his bday dinner, so i'll be doing dinner and drinks downtown (though prob ginger ale for me, i'm still dry, kiddos) and that oughta be fun. he's got some neat new friends since we split, lol.
monday, SGCO is doing the big casa bonita shindig. if you haven't heard about it, that's still no reason for you not to come, btw. the details are up on the SGCO group and the hook up board (courtesty of the ever polite slimjim). but, of course, harrass either one of us and we'll give you whatever skinny we've got, k?
also, if you're an SGCO person, or would like to be (we're working on getting a new 'owner' since aoife ain't in CO anymore. and i'm still bummed about that, btw), feel free to suggest other future events. our goal now is to manage something official at least once a month, k?
and it's less than a week now until my trip. time to start figuring out what to pack.
if you get bored, check out the mighty c-dub.

I think it is amazing you stay in contact with your x's. The only x's I keep in constant contact with are the ones on the front of magizines.
