i'm back, kids!
and right now thoroughly absorbed in a munsters marathon.
when i get back into the office, i'll put up some fun pictures of some of the neat stuff i've been up to this week.
main thing (reason i've been away from the computer) was the teaching for a change conference this week. wow. so wonderful to be with a couple-hundred other like minded folks. much talk about spirituality in teaching, leadership. how to stay invested in what you do, all that kind of good stuff. particularly good for me, since i have within the last month sort of recommited to the education field - really wonderful to get that sort of positive reinforcement. also, of course, met some just absolutely wonderful people. hooray!
today i went to the fly in -- so good!!! i'll pop up some pics when mom emails 'em to me, but damn it was fun! classic cars, classic planes, great air show. i love it! that, and the biggest fucking plate of curly fries i've ever had, yum! gorgeous storm moved in just after the air show. perfect day so far, all in all ('cept that my honey wasn't there
). you're gonna love this, honey. next year
um, what else what else what else. i guess that's it for now. waiting for the no-longer-my-boyfriend-for-a-couple-of-months boy to call me so we can meet up tonight and i can get the last of my stuff back, hooray! one more thing off the list.
so - i guess that just leaves upcoming events for now, right? i don't even know what i've forgotten... thank you all for sweet messages while i was gone.

26 and 27 June, Saturday and Sunday: (yes, it continues again tomorrow, and there's apparently a pancake breakfast!!!) annual fly-in, this time at the Watkins air field just east of town. lots of awesome classic planes, and a few classic cars, too. neat stuff, really. one of my favorite parts of the summer.
29 June, Tuesday: skinny puppy at the ogden, you freaks. the goth event of the summer, so far as i can tell from here. i've got my ticket, and i'll be there. come say hi, why don'tcha?
2 July, Friday: legendary pink dots at the bluebird. got my ticket for that, too - but i'd happily sell it for face if anybody else is thinkin' about goin'... you'd be doin me a favor, really. also that night, the reno divorce boys are playing the cheers tavern. if they're still goin after the dots or if someone takes that ticket off my hands, that's where i'll be found, drowning the sorrows of edward ka-spel in cheap bourbon and smiles.
10 July, Saturday: the railbenders are doin a set or two at the blue mule, which should be much fun.
15 July, Thursday: i fly out to see ironbhr. finally. :sigh: ain't love grand?
